Baseline
GoBD / GDPdU — Digital Audit File Requirements
Germany requires businesses to provide electronic accounting data in standardized formats under the GoBD (Grundsatze zur ordnungsmassigen Fuhrung und Aufbewahrung von Buchern) regulations. The Z3 data access right allows the Finanzamt to request digital data during audits in IDEA-compatible formats. While not formally SAF-T, these requirements create equivalent digital audit file obligations.
